Four small brass turnings left

Finial for the 1/48 highboy.

Tomorrow the last four brass knobs will be turned.

Drawer number 5 of the small highboy flew to the floor yesterday and was then run over by my workshop chair. (top is 1,2 and 3, then down 4,5,6,7 and 8, bottom row is 9,10 and 11) So a new drawer had to be made from scatch. If you look carefully you can see that the bookmatch centerline is not perfect :-(

Another view.

And then next week-end will be the great workshop clean up day.

Happy Easter
Niels

  1. Neils, you got the match so close to perfect that you are the only one who will realize it is not perfect.

To bad about the accident through, so frustrating but such things as are spelled out in word verification for posting comments "prove you are not a robot"

    1. Sorry to hear about the draw, Niels :S Comforting in a way though, cos I endorse Karin words. It happened to me with a hinge a few years ago. Sweated on it till it was all finished... only to see it slip out of my fingers and on to the floor... where it was never to be found again argh... So much for a untidy workshop :/
